Gastronaut Set #1




Maiden Voyage to Gastronaut Headquarters for their first food shoot. We went daylight shooting dozens of different platings. And we saved a little power. The Gastronaut team made astonishing plates for this three day event. The space is perfect for a shoot!

Chambers Eat+Drink


Phoenix Hotel's latest renovation, Chambers Food+Drink, opened last month with a splash! That's right, they have poolside cabanas in which you can sip fancy cocktails and enjoy the sun (if San Francisco's summer permits). The space has two bars, a dining room, and is furnished with it's own library.

Three Babes Bakery



Three Babes Bakery is the neighborhoods newest dessert addition! Feel free to visit them on the weekends at Stable Cafe on 17th and Folsom street. Or if you can't wait that long, sign up for thier delivery service and have delicious pies deliever to your work or home. Sign up here.

If you aren't familar with Stable, make sure to stop in on 17th and Folsom to take a look. The space is designed by Malcom David Architecture, and the firms studio is right on top of the cafe. Good thing it's right down the street from MDRP's Studio!

Manresa



The intimate Manresa, tucked in the lush town of Los Gatos, has
reopened with renovations including a new lounge and a extraordinary
cocktail menu. Sterry Architecture and Sunnyhills Studio teamed up
for the remodeling of the classic space, providing the restaurant with
an open feel and a sophisticated color palate. Chef David Kinch draws
flavors from French and Catalan regions and uses the freshest
ingredients that are grown on the restaurants on farm, located in
Santa Cruz.

MDRP was happy to photograph the brand new renovations, just in time for the restaurants opening! Thanks to Wagstaff Worldwide, the photo's were finished right before Manresa's media party.

Terminal 2


MDRP got the opportunity to shoot SFO's newest addition: Terminal 2. The project has been underway since 2008 and was finished earlier this month. The state of the art domestic terminal features an additional 14 gates, a pedestrian bridge to AirTrain, 30,000 ft of retail space (including a spa and a wine bar!), and sustainable design including paperless ticketing.

Chartwell School, Seaside California




In 2006, MDRP shot the Chartwell School in Seaside, CA. EHDD's Director of Sustainability, Scott Shell, designed the school putting an emphasis on water efficiency and rainwater collection. The water features within the school are used as a tool to teach children about their connection to natural resources.



Marin Country Day School by EHDD Architecture



Marin Country Day School and EHDD Architecture have been working together since 2007 to improve the campus and reduce energy use. The award winning school is now home to the first zero-energy classroom in North America.

MDRP enjoyed making photograph's of the school's new additions. Between the location and the architecture, the campus is a perfect example of outstanding landscape architecture.

Pandora's Box: Joseph Cornell Unlocks the MCA Collection

MCA has a new exhibit opening on June 18th featuring the work Joseph Cornell and timeless relevance to art and the MCA gallery.

MCA's website features Pipolliti Rist's installation to promote the show. The photograph was taken in 1996 by yours truly as a intern. The museum sure knows how to archive and manage a collection! Make sure to stop by and see the exhibit!

Pfau Long Architecture


Pfau Long Architecture is a progressive firm with emphasis on new and experimental technology. The firm is unique in their approach to the integration of design and production. MDRP is pleased to be featured on their new website.

The Activist House was shot two years ago from a neighbor's window during another beautiful San Francisco sunset.

Collaboraction



MDRP is proud to announce that his photographs will be featured in Collaboraction's Sketchbook Reverb exhibit.

Sketchbook Reverb is a collective gallery showcase. The show brings together artists of all mediums including theater, music, visual art, video, and the internet.

The exhibit opens on February 10th and will stay up until March 27th.

AIA: SF Architectural Photography Exhibition
