Burger Frenzy!

Burgers are definitely an obsession. I think that —when executed right—they are a perfect food. Juicy, chargrilled beef; soft, yielding buns; and savory toppings come together in a glorious explosion of flavors and textures

We were welcomed us with some classic cheeseburgers, perfectly golden buns, melty cheddar and incredibly juicy beef, and this was just the appetizer.  The party continued with glorious chilly cheese burgers, mushrooms and truffle cream cheese double patties, bacon and blue cheese double and for a healthier vegetarian option (but still incredibly tasty) fried tofu and mayo with some romaine for some extra vitamins.

Burgers are a nostalgic food that brings me back to a simpler time in life: backyard barbecues, an afternoon with friends watching games. It may be my North American sensibilities, or a pull towards childhood tastes, but Burgers just refresh all those memories and made my day much yummier.

The undisclosed popup we will be released soon, stay tuned!

Garrett Leight California Optical

Wearing glasses is a must.

They are one of those accessorizes that can't ever miss from my bag, first because I have been wearing prescription glasses since I was 16, second because there's nothing better than some fancy shades to protect my eyes form sunshine, overcast weather or just a bad day (or holiday hangover!)
Garrett Leight California Optical has the perfect recipe for who like me can't live without glasses. Elegant frames, high quality materials made in Los Angeles; comfy, casual or chic, everyday can be a different day just putting on a different pair.

Recently we got our hands on a bunch of product and  had the pleasure to shoot with the lovely Kate Conneely for Look Model Agency, based in San Francisco, her red head and freckles were such a unique addition, a hip personality perfect for the spirit of GLCO.

Inspired by California life and lifestyle, they are sophisticated and timeless, vintage, modern, a great selection of colors and shapes to suit any personality an style.

Black Sands Brewery

Black Sands Brewery is a mash-up of all things trending right now. #craftbeer #homebrew #batchcoffee #coldbrew #minimalistdesign #goodeats.
The idea is that everything is right there in front of you. From the minimalist and open decor, to the way the beer is made, to the way you can see the chefs in the kitchen preparing your meal. Transparency.
The food is California inspired with a dash of Asian and Latino influences. Try the DFT Breakfast Torta with Chorizo, tapatio, avocado, egg, and paprika mayo for breakfast, the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich with slaw, pickles, spicy mayo, and garlic soy for lunch or feast on the Black Sands Burger which is two patties with tomato, grilled onions, and special sauce for dinner. Make sure to pair each of these with a unique beverage. Start the day off with with a fresh brew of batch coffee or cold brew or a matcha latte. For lunch grab a house made beer like the SMASH Nelson, an IPA made with one "single malts and single hops." For dinner, try a special cocktail made with spirits from small batch distillers.
When your done feasting your eyes on the beautiful interior architecture and feasting your belly on delicious food and drinks, head over to the homebrew store where you can buy everything you need to make your own beer. You can also pick up a recipe of the beer you just had, buy those exact ingredients and try your hand at making it yourself. They also offer classes and instructions for those brewers just starting out or looking to up their game.

Meyer Sound - New Kids on the Block

MDRP had a blast shooting the incredible in-the-round LYON linear sound reinforcement system by Meyer Sound at SAP Center in San Jose, CA. With acts like Nelly, TLC and the headliners New Kids on the Block, who wouldn't have fun? Check out the pics and some details from Meyer sound here.

Kevin Elson, the FOH engineer chose the system and they were supplied through VER Tour Sound. He was a great subject to photograph and certainly knows his stuff.
